ORDINANCE
ON GARBAGE
Part 1, Garbage Accumulation
§101. Dumping Prohibited.
No person shall store or
dump garbage, rubbish, or other offensive matters or otherwise deposit or
permit to be deposited, any garbage, rubbish, or other offensive matters to be
placed or to remain upon any private or public property or upon any public
street, highway, alley or sidewalks. (Ord. 61-1,

§102. Junkyards Exempt.
No person shall openly store, accumulate
or otherwise suffer to store or accumulate for any commercial purpose or
otherwise, any junk or abandoned or disabled automobiles or vehicles upon any
private or public property or upon any public street, highway, alley or
sidewalks; providing, however, that any person now maintaining or having
heretofore established a commercial junkyard or any person who shall
hereinafter be licensed to establish a commercial junkyard shall be exempt from
the prohibition of this section. (Ord. 61-1,

§103. Penalties.
Any person, firm or corporation who shall
violate any provision of this Part, upon conviction thereof in an action
brought before a district justice in the manner provided for the enforcement of
summary offenses under the Pennsylvania Rules of Criminal Procedure, shall be
sentenced to pay a fine of not more than one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) plus
costs and, in default of payment of said fine and costs, to a term of
imprisonment not to exceed ninety (90) days. Each day that a violation of this
Part continues or each Section of this Part which shall be found to have been
violated shall constitute a separate offense. (Ord.
